IIT goes international. IIT is planning to conduct entrance tests for entry to undergraduate and post graduate courses abroad. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) earlier known as the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE) is the standardized test used for admission to engineering programs in India.

As per Times of India, entrance test is expected to be conducted in eight other countries. This will be a step forward for the developing nation. The Indian students need not worry about their available seats as separate seats will be offered to foreign nationals. The governments as well as IITians are eager to have more foreign students on their campus especially to increase the rankings on an international level.

How to prepare for IIT JEE 2016

  • Concentrate on 11th and 12th Syllabus: When preparing for this examination, make sure you are well aware of the syllabus of 11th and 12th Generally it is seen that 45% of 11th standard syllabus and 55% of 12th Standard syllabus contribute to the IIT-JEE question papers
  • Avoid Selective Study: Try to solve as many questions as possible while attempting mock question papers. There are intermingling of various concepts for the subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Attempt Mock Tests: Take ample mock quiz so that you are well prepared for the examination
  • Manage time: Conceptual Clarity and regular practice in problem solving ensures the speed and accuracy
  • Do not over stress: Ensure you have at least six hours of sleep
  • Use Many Sources: Do not only use NCert Books for preparation. Try to gather different study materials from experts so that you strengthen important concepts. Prepare online as well offline modes for answering the examination.

IIT goes internationals

In order to crack this exam, on needs to know the structure of the exam. The JEE Main Exam is actually for three hours with ninety multiple choice questions (MCQ) . The subjects include Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which has 30 questions each. For every correct answer, four points are awarded where as for every incorrect answer one point is deducted.

For advanced exam is divided into two three hour long papers with each of the three sections. Paper One has 10 MCQs with one correct answer, 5 MCQs with one or more correct answers and 5 questions where single digit answer needs to be provided. Paper two has 8 MCQs with one correct answer, 8 questions where one has to respond to a reading passage and various matching type questions. The more ones knows the structure of the examination, one can work on it comfortably.
